Export's Preference

“Hong Kong people love to eat and they choose the best quality of food,” says Mr Kenneth Chan, Executive Director of Kui Fat Yuen Limited and Chairman of The Rice Merchants’ Association of Hong Kong. “Rice is no exception. Thai Hom Mali rice has the highest quality among all the Thai rice.”

A specialist in trading in Thai Hom Mali rice, Kui Fat Yuen was started by Mr Chan’s grandfather and the company now has more than 70 years’ experience importing Thai rice into Hong Kong. Kui Fat Yuen imports a number of rice varieties from Thailand, including fragrant long grains such as Thai Hom Mali and Thai jasmine, and short grains including white glutinous rice.
